Optomi, in partnership with a premier Media and Entertainment company, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team. This team is responsible for developing cutting-edge solutions to manage and distribute high-quality content metadata across a variety of platforms. This role will play a crucial part in creating a new and innovative system to associate, aggregate, and distribute metadata for downstream consumption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable software solutions for metadata management.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and data analysts.
- Identify areas for improvement in existing systems and propose innovative solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, and Spring Boot.
- Solid understanding of AWS cloud services.
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB).
- Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Graph databases (e.g., Neo4j).
- Experience with Terraform and GraphQL.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
